The 3rd annual Guild meeting hosted by The College of Global Studies, Arcadia University, took place on Arcadia’s campus from June 19-20, 2017. Thirty-five institutions took part, and included Faculty, Directors of International Programs, Coaches, Deans of Experiential Education, Study Abroad Program Advisors and SIO's, resulting in lively, informative and invigorating discussions. Lorna Stern, Vice-President of Arcadia University and Executive Director of The College of Global Studies, introduced the theme of the conference at the Opening Session: Intention In Study Abroad Program Design and Delivery. Arcadia’s program in Rome was highlighted as a working example of this theme in action for students.
The program featured presentations from Guild participants and resulted in free form discussion about goals, values and experience on each of the participants home campuses:
The Guild is a dialogue rich membership group created to serve as a sounding board for the programs and activities of The College. The Guild, through its annual conferences and other events provides for focused discussion around current topics and practice in the field of international education.
