A Mom's Humorous Approach to Study Abroad

Study abroad can be difficult for parents left behind as their son or daughter spreads their wings in foreign lands. However, one mom of a Belmont University student, Dalton Ross, found a way to deal with her son's year of study abroad through Arcadia at the University of Westminster in London England.

When her son sent her a life-size cardboard cutout of himself, she turned the joke on him and took the "faux Dalton" everywhere with her. She staged photos with the cutout at family events, sports games, restaurants. When Dalton shared the photos online, they went viral and over 900,000 people have liked and shared them.
