Roland Adjovi, resident scholar at The College of Global Studies and assistant professor of historical and political studies at Arcadia University, also serves on United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention.

In this position as the second vice chairman, Mr. Adjovi wrote and announced the Group's public statement earlier this month that WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, is being arbitrarily detained by the U.K. and Sweden and called for an end to the detention. Additionally, Mr. Adjovi spoke with several international news organizations about the Groups decision, including the Associated Press, Reuters, NPR and the BBC. 

Mr. Adjovi is a world renowned Human Rights lawyer and advocate and has been involved with the U.N. since 2003. He contributes greatly to both Arcadia University and The College of Global Studies, including in his role as Resident Director for the Arcadia in Tanzania program when it was offered by The College.
