Affordable & Achievable: Summer Study Abroad

Sometimes a student’s choice is, study abroad in the summer, or don’t study abroad at all. This could be for many different reasons, from semester curricula matching issues or credit conflicts to cost and sports or activities commitments. Either way, the summer program option is proving popular and improving access for many students who might otherwise find it impossible to study abroad.

Programs under $5k

The key therefore, is providing high quality short programming at an affordable level. Arcadia Abroad currently offers five exceptional summer programs under $5k: Arcadia in Dublin, Arcadia in Granada Summer, Arcadia in London Summer, Scottish History, Umbra Institute Summer, and University of Havana Summer. 

STEM Summer Research

For STEM students who may have curriculum worries putting them off studying abroad for a semester, Arcadia has a popular series of STEM Summer Research programs. These unique creations offer students the added bonus of conducting independent research abroad, which is a great resume booster. 

Internships

Our internships for summer are also varied in cost, location and type. From a museum experience in Edinburgh to a wide variety of placements in Dublin or London and for those looking to go further afield, we also have a summer Sydney Internship in Australia. 

Indeed, this year, we expanded our summer internships to include a first-of-its-kind Arcadia program in Philadelphia itself: Intern Philly. Students can experience an Arcadia program without traveling abroad but still experiencing that dynamic learning model.
