Widener student Ashley Rundell spoke recently at a dinner hosted by the Society for the Sons of St. George, a charitable organization based in Philadelphia that was founded in 1791. Today, the Society awards scholarships to students seeking to study abroad in England. Ashley, who studied at Pembroke Kings at the University of Cambridge last summer with Arcadia, was joined at the dinner by her father. Her discussion of her experience abroad was well received by the dinner's attendees.
Since the start of the scholarship program, 79 students have been selected from 44 different home schools and have participated in 24 different programs in England. A total of $241,900 has been awarded in scholarship aid by the Foundation. More details and qualification information can be found on the Scholarships page.
