Arcadia Abroad welcomes the news of the FDA’s full approval of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine, which will now be marketed as Comirnaty.  In keeping with our vaccination policy communicated earlier this summer, Arcadia Abroad will require proof of full vaccination by December 1, 2021 for all spring semester program participants.  Proof of vaccination from any vaccine that has full or emergency approval from the FDA will be acceptable. For individuals receiving vaccinations other than those available in the United States, we will accept COVID vaccines that are approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) or any governing regulatory body.

Exceptions to Arcadia’s Policy will be granted based on reasonable health and religious grounds, permitting they are in compliance with local regulations. Students who are granted an exemption will be required to participate in, and comply with, all Arcadia Abroad and local mitigation efforts that are in place at any particular time. Spring semester students requesting an exemption should do so via the immunization form in the application portal. A member of the Health and Safety Team will then contact them regarding the exemption process. Regardless of vaccine status, all students will continue to be subject to any local mitigation measures required throughout their time with us.

Students are encouraged to consult their application portal and/or be in touch with their program manager if they have questions.

We are excited to continue welcoming students on our programs and, with help in part by this vaccination policy, continue to uphold our mission and values and stewardship of responsible travel.
