For the ninth consecutive year, Arcadia University has been ranked first in the U.S. in study abroad participation by the Institute of International Education (IIE). Arcadia earned the recognition in IIE’s Open Doors report, released on Nov. 13, based on the percentage of undergraduate students participating in a study abroad experience at a master’s level college or university, as determined by IIE, with support from the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Lorna Stern, Arcadia University vice president and Executive Director at The College of Global Studies commented: "Among many of the hallmarks of an Arcadia University education is the opportunity to expand our students' horizons through vibrant and engaged study abroad. Our students dive into these programs with both enthusiasm and thoughtfulness. Many engage in work that builds and contributes to the communities in which they find themselves whether through service, research, internships or volunteering. We hope that being #1 in study abroad is more than a metric - but that it also represents a student body that is preparing for lives of informed contribution, service, vision, creativity and innovation. We salute all the educators and learners around the world who contribute to the rich fabric of teaching and learning that continues to express Arcadia's deepest values and mission."
