An Emerson College Student, Dominique C., received a once in a lifetime opportunity during her time on Arcadia’s London Internship Program, by writing, directing and starring in her very own play as a part of her theater internship.
With no show planned for the next three weeks, Dominique took advantage of this opportunity and brought up the idea of creating her own show to her boss, Leonie Scott Matthews. Although Matthews hardly knew Dominique or her capabilities she agreed to give Dominique full reigns.
After two weeks of writing and three weeks of rehearsing, Dominique’s first play, “Moving Clouds”, was performed. The play was well received by the audience as well as from Matthews. The kind of exposure Dominique acquired from this amazing opportunity was “unlike anything she could’ve ever imagined.”
