Dr. Andrew LawThe College of Global Studies at Arcadia University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Andrew Law as the new Academic Dean of The College of Global Studies. Dr. Law took up his new position on January 26, 2015 at the University’s Glenside PA campus.

With more than 20 years of experience in education abroad, Dr. Law brings a national profile and reputation for contributing to the academic growth of the field of education abroad, always putting academics at the core of his endeavors and the field. He is deeply committed to the core values and mission of a liberal arts institution always seeking to bring international education into the core of the work and life of the academy.

Lorna Stern, Vice President of Arcadia University and Executive Director of The College of Global Studies, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Dr. Law to Arcadia and look forward working with such an accomplished and talented colleague who is so widely respected in the field of international education. I think his vast experience and academic stature will bring a nuanced and innovative dimension to our programs and relationships worldwide.”

Dr. Law comes to Arcadia from Denison University where he served as Director, Off-Campus Study. Prior to his position at Denison, Dr. Law held positions at Lawrence University, Macalester College, and the University of Minnesota.

“It’s an honor to join the faculty of The College of Global Studies at Arcadia. I’m looking forward to contributing to the exciting endeavors of The College as we work with colleagues and partners around the world to extend the curricular reach and pedagogical possibilities of international education,” said Dr. Law.

Dr. Law has an AB in American Studies from Georgetown University and a Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Minnesota.
