While on the Intern Philly program, students will learn in lots of different ways, both through Arcadia and on their own, with the help of our partnership with Campus Philly. This nonprofit organization fuels economic growth by encouraging college students to study, explore, live and work in the Greater Philadelphia tri-state region.

In addition to their placements in Center City, Intern Philly students will take part in Arcadia site visits to explore places relevant to their placement and coursework. They’ll also enjoy organized events to integrate them into the local community and to get to know their fellow students such as walking tours of fascinating neighborhoods, city festival excursions, and networking events.

Through Arcadia’s partnership with Campus Philly, students will also have access to a wide range of events and activities many of which are free or steeply discounted. They could catch a play at the Arden for $10, or last minute tickets to the Flyers or the Union or join other students for College Night at the Penn Museum.

In addition, Campus Philly organizes networking events for the thousands of university students who call Philadelphia home and Intern Philly students will be able to participate in these. They can meet other students at museums or lectures or network with young professionals from many of the companies based in Philadelphia.

These social aspects of the Intern Philly program round out the whole experience for students, making the program a learning curve on so many levels.
