Arcadia London Center lecturer Dr. Laurence Scott is nominated for the 2015 Samuel Johnson Non-Fiction Prize for his book The Four-Dimensional Human. Dr. Scott, one of London Center’s three core faculty members, frequently organizes excursions to the Samuel Johnson House as a part of the Arcadia in London Writing London course.
Along with five other non-fiction works, The Telegraph reports that Dr. Scott's book has made the short-list for the prestigious prize, having been chosen for its “bold and thoughtful exploration of the challenges that digital technologies pose to our most basic conceptions of humanity.” Dr. Scott's book also won the prestigious Royal Society of Literature Jerwood Award last year.
