As the Spring Semester begins, a number of new Student Bloggers are either arriving or soon to arrive at their study abroad destinations, kicking off a whirlwind of adventure and learning that awaits them. Follow their blogs as they step outside of their comfort zones and offer unique and authentic perspectives of what it’s like to study abroad in a variety of different locations.
Alex C. is getting ready to arrive in Perugia, Italy, for the Food & Sustainability Studies program after spending some time traveling around Austria. He very wisely wrote a number of goals that he hopes to accomplish during his time in Italy, so follow along with his blog to see how he progresses.
Erica S. recently arrived and is adjusting to her new surroundings in Scotland. A student at the University of Aberdeen, Erica wrote about her homestay, which included spending time with her host family (dogs included) and seeing the sights the city of Stirling has to offer. Most important of all, she talked about the moment of enlightenment that the experience afforded her for her journey ahead.
JayLeen M., meanwhile, is preparing herself for a semester abroad at NUI Galway in a small coastal Irish town. She is drawn there by the opportunity to learn more about herself and her family history, to reconnect with her ancestral roots. Read along as she turns her dreams into reality.
The full roster of student bloggers is much larger and continually growing. Make sure to keep up with the main blogger page to see how these once-in-a-lifetime experiences help these students grow and mature as global citizens and educated professionals.
