Tom and Joe Present in DublinThe College of Global Studies had a presence at the Global Internship Conference, which was held at University College Dublin from June 9th to 11th. Dr. Tom Kelley, the Resident Director of The College’s programs in Ireland, was joined by Joe Dwyer, London’s Internship Manager in representing The College at the event. The two hosted a presentation on the topic of articulating the international internship experience, titled ‘Telling the Irish Internship Story.’

They were received by a packed lecture hall and entertained questions on the academic assessment of Arcadia internship, on-site supports for students and the process of placement selections that Arcadia employs. The focus of the presentation remained largely on what The College does to assist students in articulating their international internship experience, via on-site supports or the reflection course that all interns are required to take.

The conference was attended by around 420 people from a wide range of places, but mostly from career advisory and study abroad offices in the United States.
