Out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of students, Arcadia University suspended its on-site programming in Rome, Florence, and Perugia for spring 2020 semester on February 29, following the decision by the U.S. Department of State to increase its Travel Advisory Level for Italy to Level 3: Reconsider Travel, and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to elevate their warning to Level 3: Avoid Nonessential Travel. Alessandra has since returned home to the U.S.
