Students studying with Arcadia in Ireland recently participated in an exciting new co-curricular activity that involved visiting a number of Game of Thrones filming locations in Northern Ireland. In addition to getting to see the sets for the hugely popular HBO show firsthand, students got to learn about some of the complexities that are involved when hosting a multi-million dollar film crew.

Many discussions went deeper to explore the business of attracting filmakers, funding and servicing the industry. Ireland, though a small island, is incredibly innovative and positions itself on a global scale. Touring the filming locations of an internationally renowned television series and speaking with people in that field of work illustrates that.
