Two Arcadia study abroad students have provided clear examples of engaging with the environments of their host countries -literally- by having editorial pieces discussing environmental issues published online.

Corinne Elliot, a Messiah College student currently in London, had an article published in the World Travel Guide, the organization where she is currently an intern through Arcadia's London Internship Program.

Her piece, titled License to Drill: Fracking our Green and Pleasant Land, discusses the controversial method of extracting natural gas, Fracking, and the efforts of the U.K. government to grant licenses to companies that wish to operate in Britain’s national parks.

Natalie Marshall, an Arcadia University student who we have featured before for her outstanding work as a Collegiate Correspondent for USA TODAY, also touched on a pressing environmental issue in Europe.

In her article, Natalie spoke with three of her peers on the Arcadia in Paris program about the excessive air pollution problems that are facing their host city. Analise Kump (Stonehill College), Jennifer Ihnacik (Arcadia University) and Rebecca Parra (Saint Michael’s College) each offered their view on the situation and discussed the steps that the French government is taking to combat this excessive pollution.
