In celebration of International Education Week, The College of Global Studies had the honor of partnering with the University of Kentucky Education Abroad Office, Gatton College of Business & Economics and the Graham Center for Career Management for the first annual International Internship Symposium. Three of six student panelists were Arcadia alumni who spoke on the benefits and challenges of interning while abroad.

Arcadia alumni included:

Brenna Ediger, Health Studies major, participated in the Sydney Summer Internship Program and interned at a private skincare company, Derma Aesthetics.

Lucas Kasper, Economics major, participated in the London Summer Internship Program and interned with the Finance Department at The Ritz London.

Elizabeth Brown, Business and Politics Major, participated in the London Internship and interned at the law firm JD Spicer.

Twenty nine UK students attended and discussed the opportunities for an international internship over a hot breakfast catered by Lexington local eatery, Wild Eggs.

Thank you to Joshua Taylor, Associate Director for the Graham Center for Career Management, Susan Meredith, Education Abroad Advisor, Summer Eglinski, Director for Gatton Global Initiatives and our terrific Arcadia Alums. We are already planning for the second annual event!
