Arcadia University will host an informational webinar on Intern Philly on Wednesday 22 January at 12:00 PM EST to learn more about the new internship study away program from Arcadia: Intern Philly.
Topics will include: Why choose Philadelphia?; the program’s academic structure; Housing; Arcadia’s center; Co-curricular programming; Internship placements; Application process; Admission requirements.
Arcadia staff managing the implementation of Intern Philly will be available to answer your questions and shine a light on what makes this new study away opportunity so rewarding for students.
Intern Philly offers students:
- Customized internship placements across Philadelphia in a wide variety of fields through Summer or Semester programs.
- Courses in Center City –– the heart of downtown –– that get students out of the classroom to engage the professional, social, and cultural diversity of the city, as well as bring that diversity of perspective and experience into the classroom.
- Mentoring from faculty and staff that allows time to discuss and reflect on each individual's experience studying and working in Philadelphia, with an eye toward building each student's independence, adaptability, initiative-taking ability and problem solving and resilience skills sought by employers
- Networking opportunities with other young urban professionals, as well as interview skills training and guidance on writing resumes and cover letters and networking pitches.
- Health, safety and student life guidance to help students learn to navigate the city.
