With the semester winding down we realise that, between preparing for finals, you are vigorously planning how to spend your final weeks abroad. That is why we've constructed a list of some of the best places to go and things to do in London. Some you might have heard of, while others are a little off the beaten track, but they are all fantastic ways to ensure no stone is left unturned in a city that has so much to offer.

  1. Admire London's skyline (for free) from Sky Garden.
  2. Prop your feet up at a swanky cinema.
  3. Climb aboard a floating bookshop along the Regent's Canal.
  4. Embrace your inner child at this board game cafe
  5. If you're an art lover, visit the Saatchi Gallery for unique contemporary art or the Courtauld Gallery in Somerset House for more classic works.
  6. Test your fear of heights at Tower Bridge
  7. Wander down Brick Lane to find out if beigels are better than bagels or feast on a delicious curry (or both!).
  8. Have a purrfect afternoon tea at a cat cafe.
  9. Embark on a sculpture trail along the waterway from the O2 to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
  10. Explore London's world famous botanical garden at Kew Gardens.
  11. Hire a row boat at Richmond and spend the hour taking in the peaceful riverside view.
  12. Visit the Whispering Gallery at St Paul's Cathedral
  13. See a show at the Young Vic or National Theatre.
  14. Take the Emirates Air Line at sunset.
  15. Visit the resting place of Karl Marx and Charles Dickens.
  16. Meet some loveable creatures at Spitalfields City Farm.
  17. Tour the British Library to find handwritten Beatles lyrics.
  18. Stop and smell the flowers at the Columbia Road Flower Market.
  19. Walk among the dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum or float alongside them at Crystal Palace Park
  20. Stroll down along the Thames one afternoon and stop for lunch at Southbank Centre Market.

Happy exploring!
