As essential as it is, we know that orientation can be slightly dull at moments (like when you're struggling to stay awake through a long presentation and your large coffee just isn't kicking in).
But, all PowerPoint slides aside, we do also have some fun, and most importantly, FREE activities for you during orientation that you shouldn't miss!
That's right! You can check seeing a West End show off your within the first few days! Every student will have the opportunity to see a free theatre production during orientation (keeping in mind that on average tickets to these shows cost £60 each!).
You will also have the chance to visit one of the most popular attractions in London! This iconic 900-year-old castle and fortress is not only a World Heritage Site, but is also home to the famous Crown Jewels.
Previously used as a prison, throughout it’s lifetime the Tower has seen a number of famous prisoners including Lady Jane Grey, two of Henry VIII’s wives, (Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard) as well as the infamous Guy Fawkes.
All of our students in the Fall will get a free visit to the Tower of London (a ticket usually costs around £20) and have the chance to see the Crown Jewels display, take part in a guided tour, witness live historical re-enactments and have access to current exhibitions!
Take advantage of our faculty's incredible local knowledge and join them on one of their free guided tours!
Previous tours have included The Olympic Park and Street Art in the East End. This is a great opportunity to explore underground London and be introduced to areas that you might not otherwise have discovered. Keep your eyes on the Facebook group to see what free tours we will be running this semester!
