Jannica Honey: The Exploited as a Reference in a Mohawk Rez Called Kahnawake: Throughout the End of March, People's Palace and Winter Gardens

Work by Edinburgh-based photographer hailing from Stockholm. Honey visited Kahnawake, a Mohawk reservation just outside Montreal, and photographed members of the community including chiefs, peacemakers, the staff of a local newspaper and a young punk (hence the mention of the Exploited.) The focus is on identity and the meaning of community.

20th Century Scottish Painting: Throughout the End of March, Ewan Mundy Fine Art

Works by major Scottish artists of the last century, including Robert Colquhoun, William Gillies, Joan Eardley, William Crosbie, Elizabeth Blackadder, JD Fergusson, Stephen Conroy and others.

The Celts in Seville: 19-29 March, Pavillion Theatre, 7.30pm

The story of a typical Celtic family as their heroes go all the way to the UEFA Cup final in Seville, written by award winning playwright Tony Roper.

Glasgow St Patrick's Day Festival: 15-16 March, Various Venues and Times

Celebrate the Irish heritage of Glasgow and Scotland with a programme of film, talks, family activities, dancing and, of course, a whole lot of music.

Glasgow International Comedy Festival: Throughout the End of March, Various Venues

Glasgow's comedy festival is birling into its 11th year, getting ever more impressive with each outing. The funny types gracing the city's various stages in 2014 include Richard Herring, Russell Kane and Chris Ramsey, with a shedload of great Scots and international favorites waiting in the wings.

Glasgow Park Run: 15, 22, 29 March, Pollok Country Park, 9.30am

An informal weekly 5k run in Pollok Country Park. Everyone is welcome, no matter how fast or slow (you're welcome to walk the route, bring your dog or push a buggy), so you can use it as a one-off fitness test, a chance to get some fresh air or come every week to try to beat your personal best time.

Italian Film Festival Scotland: Through 20 March, Glasgow Film Theatre, Various Times

This festival celebrates the best of Italian cinema, bringing it across the waters and all the way up to Scotland. As usual, a mix of classic and contemporary cinematic delights makes up the programme.
