A Celebration of Burns: 23 and 24 December, Stirling Castle, 12-3pm
Stirling Castle's annual celebration of the national bard features a tour of the castle, which inspired his infamous poem on Scotland's national decay, Lines on Stirling.

Music, Comedy and Dance

Stirling Orchestra: 5 December, Albert Halls, 7:30pm
An orchestra made up of mostly amateur musicians from Stirling University and the local area who perform several concerts a year.

Kath Hardie and Chapter 4: The songs of Thomas Moore and Sir Walter Scott: Smith Art Gallery & Museum, 21 December, 7:30pm
Kath Hardie talks about the careers of Thomas Moore and Walter Scott, and Chapter 4 sing some of their songs.

Carols at the Castle: 13 December, Stirling Castle, 7pm
Members of the National Youth Choir of Scotland's Stirling contingent perform traditional carols in the Great Hall, and local performers dramatise scenes of Christmas past, in an evening of unmitigated Yuletide wingdingery.

Albert Halls Hogmanay Ceilidh: 31 December, Albert Halls, 7:30pm

A sensational way to end 2015 and usher in the New Year. The annual Albert Halls Hogmanay Ceilidh is fast becoming one of the events of the year. With dinner, dancing, entertainment and a full bar, there really is no better place to celebrate with old friends or make new ones.
