Gaita Medieval Music Ensemble: 28 June, Bannockburn Heritage Centre, 10am-7pm
Experts on music from the courts of medieval Europe, Gaita is based around the core group of Chris Elmes (bagpipes, medieval fiddles, oud, percussion), Cait Webb (shawms, gothic harp, lap harp, pipe and tabor, percussion) and Helena MacGilp (voice, oud and percussion). They perform with period instruments and in period dress, and CDs and editions of the music are available from their website.
