Nicole Burgon

Hi everyone! My name is Nicole Burgon, and I am a freshman at Arcadia University. I’m a History major who is also interested in Secondary Education and Law and Public Policy. I’m fortunate enough to have taken a few trips outside of the country before. Since my mom is from Peru, I traveled there when I was young. In eighth grade, my (public) school offered trips to China and Canada for small groups of students, and I was able to go on both. These experiences taught me many things, but these two in particular: 1. I love traveling and there is much to learn from it. 2. Take the opportunities you can to go on adventures. I would never be able to travel if not through school, which is a big reason why I chose Arcadia, and why I am currently in London as part of their FYSAE program! I plan to write about studying abroad as a first generation college student while also exploring historical and humanitarian issues abroad. I hope to highlight the magic in even the mundane adventures! I’m always here to talk if you have any questions or comments!
