I'm Amy, and I'm starting off my junior year by studying abroad with Arcadia in Brisbane, Australia at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
My blog will be a view into my study abroad experience, as I experience it. Currently I am packing, unpacking, and re-packing my suitcase in preparation for my nearly 5-month stay "down under". I'm so excited to finally be on my way after almost a year of waiting and planning. But of course, I'm a bit nervous about what to expect! I can't wait to see a kangaroo, meet a koala bear, and explore the beautiful land that is Australia. Also, starting my studies at QUT will be a great new challenge.
Leaving for Australia feels a lot like when I left home to come to Arcadia. I was so anxious about entering a new phase of my life, and I wondered if I could "find my place" in a new environment. I hope that in Australia, I will learn more not just about my field of study, but also about myself as a person, and my own "place" in the world.
Next stop in my journey: navigating the airport!
