Travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.” – Miriam Beard

With the weather warming up and the sun shining, spring has finally arrived in Aberdeen. With spring break already upon us, classes have finished up and exam time quickly approaches, but first spring break!

With the nice weather, I’ve been spending much of my time outdoors enjoying the it. Walking along the beach, spending time in the beauty that is Seaton Park and wandering the busy streets of Aberdeen are just a few of the many things I’ve been up to. The beach is always such a great place to go to relax and find some peace. Seaton Park is really pretty now with the flowers in bloom. There’s a river that runs along the edge of the park that looks absolutely gorgeous with all the flowers in bloom around it.

In my wandering around the town of Aberdeen, I’ve discovered some great finds including a lovely Greek restaurant, some wonderful bookshops and coffee shops. The Greek food restaurant was called Christo’s Greek Taverna and was so good! It was my first time trying Greek food and I have to say that I really enjoyed it.

This past week, the University of Aberdeen hosted a Final Spring Fling Ceilidh for international students which was so much fun! It was a great way to wind down my final week of classes and enjoy some traditional Scottish dancing and food with friends.
