Charlene is a proud alumna of Arcadia University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Cultural Anthropology (with a minor in Spanish) and a Master's degree in Public Health. Her undergraduate years were filled with enriching opportunities, including studying abroad at the University of Edinburgh and participating in coursework that took her to Spain, Russia, Latvia, Estonia, and even Louisiana for community engagement. These explorations ignited her passion for global education, making her return to The College of Global Studies as a Care & Wellness Advisor a natural fit.

Charlene has strived to serve as a resource for students during her eight years of experience in the Registrar's Office on Arcadia's main campus. Outside of higher education, she has also explored professional and volunteer roles within recreation therapy, crisis counseling, and community health. She eagerly combines her interests in wellness, higher education, and travel to ensure that study abroad students feel supported and prepared to take on new adventures abroad.

Beyond her life at Arcadia, Charlene is a nature enthusiast who enjoys spending time outdoors. She serves as a Crew Lead and bird monitor with the Friends of Wissahickon, improving trails and gathering data on indicator species in the area. An avid animal lover, she also works as a farmhand and occasional pet-sitter. After work, Charlene can often be found training for aerial arts, embracing the challenge of this unique form of expression.
