Lisa L. Munro holds a PhD in modern Latin American history from the University of Arizona (2015). She served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala (2004-2006) and in various roles in study abroad programs in both Mexico and Guatemala since 2011. She lives and works in Mérida, Yucatán.
