Paola supervises Italian partners excellency standards, monitoring and academic curriculum, internship and the custom-program design, encouraging at every turn experiential learning and engagement with the Italian environment. She also likes to organize special academic retreats for students studying in the "bel paese", creating connections with the most relevant academic theories and the Italian laboratories.

Through years of professional and academic commitment, Paola brings with her a vast theoretical and practical knowledge of Italy’s potentialities and socio-economic complexity. She worked as a consultant for the Ministry of Economy of the Lazio Region, the Small and Medium Enterprises National Confederation (CNA), the European Parliament in Brussels and others, participating and coordinating development projects for companies and public administrations.

In addition to her teaching Management and International Business for the Virtual Internship program,

Paola holds a Ph.D. in Socio-Economic and Statistical Studies, La Sapienza University of Rome, with a thesis on the interaction between social representations and business practices and a focus on the Mediterranean area. Having been an exchange student and researcher at European and US Universities (Boston University, Universite' Libre de Brussels, Lehigh University and Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona) and having thought to international business schools, Paola developed a deep understanding of transnational education and knowledge-intensive organizations.

On this basis, Paola also supervises the online activities of The College of Global studies and coordinates the Virtual Global Internship program, meant to create a network of professional learning among US students, the Arcadia centers around the world and their local connections.

In each of her professional steps she has had a strong interest in research, contributing to publications and participating in national and international conferences with case studies taken from her work. Her last research is focused on international networks in higher education.
