Tessa is from the U.K. and grew up on the Berkshire/Surrey border. She caught the travel bug at a young age, and her studies in Modern Languages at the University of St Andrews took her abroad to live in rural France and central Austria; an experience that changed her life. Her career in international education spans fifteen years, specializing in academic advising, accreditation, scholarship programs and credential evaluation. She served as Associate Dean: Academic Registry at Richmond, the American International University in London where she worked for ten years, then spent four years at GIA, a U.S.-system career school. She joins Arcadia from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Tessa is passionate about lifelong learning and its links to mental well-being and is inspired by each student's unique journey. Her professional experience also includes postgraduate admissions, compliance oversight and operations. Away from work she is a devoted runner, birdwatcher, nature lover and student of yoga, and feels passionately about equal opportunities, independent thinking and individuality in all areas of life. Now a dual U.K. and French citizen, she travels to the French-speaking world whenever she can, which she loves almost as much as London. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to join the Arcadia community as Associate Director of Academic Affairs.
Tessa is currently on maternity leave.
