You’ll take a full credit load of 12-16 US semester hours of credit, which translates to 6-8 units.
- Make sure your courses transfer back for credit with your home school and that you are registered for a full academic load according to your home school policies – this is your responsibility.
- Please be flexible about courses – we can’t guarantee placement in specific courses.
- Please review your course choices with your academic or study abroad advisor, and submit the online course form to The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University.
Special Considerations
University of Queensland (UQ) may request that you submit syllabi or an updated official transcript.
Special courses are available for pre-med students. Other opportunities include an Art Internship & Independent Research and Olympic Movement & Society.

- On Course and Programs page, use the Search Toolbar to find courses and programs.
- Only select from the St. Lucia Campus.
- For more information, click on the course code.
- Pre-approved courses for Study Abroad students have a note on the left: "This course is pre-approved for Study Abroad and Exchange students."
- Courses without this note may be taken with fulfilled prerequisites.
Course Approval
- UQ will review your academic preferences form for approval
- Your Program Manager will email you UQ's Course Approvals Report.
- You will receive your Certificate of Enrollment (COE), and given log on information and instructions to UQ's mySI-net.
- There, you will be able to enroll in your courses prior to departure.

Enrollment Process
Your Program Manager will email your UQ sign-in information, including your UQ student number, Username, Password and UQ email address once your CoE has been generated.
You may only enroll in courses listed approved on your UQ Course Approvals Report.
The academic preferences form students submit to Arcadia prior to departure does not guarantee approval or enrollment in those courses. There is a drop/add period at the beginning of each semester that allows students to make changes to course enrollments. If you make any changes it is your responsibility to inform your home institution.
If your enrollment is conditional upon entry into a specific course or courses, it is very important that you indicate these requirements at the bottom of the online course form on your Arcadia Passport.
Miscellaneous/Fees
Additional course fees may be associated with some of your overseas course work (i.e. courses that include laboratory work, field excursions or theater trips).
For studio art, graphic art, art media production, drama, dancing or music courses, you will need to submit a portfolio or audition tape to support your application. submit a portfolio or audition tape on slides or a CD. Submit between 8-12 examples of your work. Portfolio is non-returnable.
