At the University of Wollongong, you have two University-owned housing options from which to choose. Campus East is an off campus student residence facility, ideally located minutes from the beach. Campus East provides fully furnished apartments with the option of flexi-catered meal plans or self-catered only. The second housing option, Kooloobong Village, provides fully furnished apartments located on campus that are self-catered only. However, students have access to study and well-being support services, and enjoy an inclusive social life in a positive environment.

Student Residence (Self or Flexi-Catered Options)
CAMPUS EAST
Located just north of the city center and minutes walk to the beach, Campus East is the largest of all the student residences at the University of Wollongong, housing over 600 students. Campus East is located about 15-20 minutes away from the University; however, you can utilize the ‘free’ Gong Shuttle Service to access campus and other bus services to Wollongong city and beyond.
Campus East is an older style complex, with the rooms varying in size and shape. Most Arcadia students at Campus East live in apartments made up of 3-5 single bedrooms with shared living, kitchen, and bathroom facilities.
Campus East is unique in that it offers you a flexible meal plan, allowing you to load funds onto a meal card which you then swipe at each meal, therefore only paying for meals that you eat. The catering specialists at Campus East provide delicious, healthy options for breakfast and dinner, 7 days a week. Payments for the flexi meal plan are made directly to Campus East; Arcadia does not bill students for this meal option.
Many students choose to have breakfast in their rooms, and then use the cafeteria for dinner, coffee, etc. Please note, cooking for yourself at Campus East is limited, so the flexible meal plan is a wonderful option.
Student Apartments
KOOLOOBONG VILLAGE
Recently renovated and expanded, Kooloobong Village is set amid bushland on the edge of campus, yet is only a 5-minute stroll to class. This self-catered option is ideal if you prefer a more independent style of living. You'll live in a 4-5 person apartment with your own bedroom with access to shared kitchen, living, and bathroom facilities. In addition to preparing your own meals, you have access to laundry facilities. You can also take advantage of the common areas on site, including barbecue facilities, outdoor recreation areas, and the communal gameroom and lounge.
With the positive psychology model as an essential component of its residential culture, Kooloobong Village encourages you to join in a rich array of social activities, including weekly yoga classes, TED talk viewing sessions, and a host of other sporting and social events. Kooloobong Village prides itself on its community and creating an atmosphere welcoming to students from all over the world, and from all walks of life.
