University of Glasgow housing is located within the fashionable West End of the city, with easy access to parks, museums, entertainment venues, shops, and restaurants. You can expect a walk of varying lengths to campus, depending on where you are allocated housing. You’ll also reside in, and enjoy, neighborhoods that are frequently voted amongst the coolest places to live in the UK.

The vast majority of housing at the University of Glasgow are self-catered (prepare your own meals) facilities with single bedrooms. You will live in an apartment alongside 2 to 10 student housemates, with access to shared kitchen, living, and bathroom facilities. There are limited twin and en-suite options available.

The following housing options are examples of where Arcadia students have lived previously. Please click on the links for visual tours of each housing option. They are listed in order of proximity to the University:

Student Apartments (5 minute walk)

Predominantly single bedrooms in shared apartments, with some twins available. Situated in a traditional Glasgow building, and located just 5 minutes from the University library and main student hub.

Cairncross House/Kelvinhaugh Street (15-20 minute walk)

These complexes are situated alongside each other in the trendy Finnieston area of Glasgow. Cairncross has single and twin options and the layout is more dorm-style, rather than contained apartments. Kitchen, living, and bathroom facilities are allocated to a group of bedrooms to ensure equal sharing. Kelvinhaugh Street consists exclusively of single rooms in self-contained shared apartments.

Winton Drive/Queen Margaret Residences (20-25 minute walk)

Winton Drive consists of single bedrooms in shared apartments of 2 to 5 students. Queen Margaret Residences offers exclusively single en-suite bedrooms in shared apartments. Both complexes are next to each other and are close to the beautiful Botanical Gardens.

Murano Street Student Village (30-40 minute walk)

The largest student housing complex offered by the University of Glasgow, with over 1,000 student bedrooms. You will live in a flat with either 4-5, or 10-12, other students. You will have your own bedroom and shared kitchen, living, and bathroom facilities.

All housing options include:

• Fully furnished bedrooms including wardrobes, desks, and sufficient storage.
• Arcadia will provide a link to purchase a bedding pack and other incidentals before arrival.
• You should bring towels. 
• Shared common areas
• Kitchen or kitchenette facilities for preparing meals. You must provide your own cookware and utensils.
• High Speed Wi-Fi throughout the housing complex
• Basic contents insurance
• On-site, pay-as-you-go laundry facilities
• 24/7 security and staff assistance
