Next step

Now it's time to take the next important step to complete your application. 

To complete your application, log into the Arcadia Abroad Portal and submit the documents necessary for an admissions decision. 

To access your Acadia Abroad Portal:

  • Go to PortalGuard 
  • Click on the "Arcadia Abroad Portal" tile
  • If you experience any issues logging in to the Arcadia Abroad portal, please follow these steps: 1) Log out of PortalGuard. 2) Clear your browser cache. 3) Log back into PortalGaurd. 4) Access the Arcadia Abroad portal. If you have taken all of these steps and continue to experience issues logging into the Arcadia Abroad portal, please contact the helpdesk at helpdesk@arcadia.edu.

Once you have access the portal, please review your information carefully.  Select "Checklist Items" and submit the required documents and forms such as passports listed there.

Note that your application will not be complete until you have submitted your Checklist Items, so be sure to do so as soon as possible.

Common Questions

Passports: All students must have a valid passport to participate in Preview and GFS. Passports must be valid for 6 months after the date of travel.

  • Students traveling over spring break (including all Preview and some GFS courses) will need to submit their passport by November 1st or provide proof that they have applied for a passport before October 15th.
  • Students traveling in May (most GFS courses) will need to submit their passport or proof they have applied for a passport by December 1st.
  • Students traveling in January with Fall GFS courses will need to submit their passport or proof they have applied for a passport by June 1st.
  • To apply for or renew a US passport, visit travel.state.gov/passports
  • There is some need-based funding available to help with passport fees, generally available to Pell Grant recipients. Please check your Pell Grant status (in your financial awards letter) and email globalengagement@arcadia.edu for more information. 

Payment instructions for Preview Fee and GFS Deposit:

  • Students who are eligible for a Pell Grant will have their Preview fee waived.
  • Students pursuing Preview who are not eligible for the Preview fee waiver must submit the $795 Preview fee by November 1st.
  • Students pursuing a GFS course must submit the $300 deposit in order to secure your spot in the course.
  • Students can make either payment in person or online by following the steps below:
    • In Person: Make payment at the Office of Student Accounts, 777 Building.
      • Please request and keep a receipt for your payment. If you have an account balance of at least the amount you need to pay, you can request that transfer by emailing the Office of Student Accounts (busoffice@arcadia.edu) and cc Cheryl Lewis (lewisc01@arcadia.edu
    • Online payment process: Make payment via your E Bill.
      • Log in to Self-Service. 
      • Click “Finances” tab. 
      • Click “View e-bill and pay”. 
      • Select “Make a payment” from the left side menu. 
      • Choose the correct payment from the “Available Items” section. 
      • Continue through checkout process using credit card (fee applies) or electronic check (no fee). 
      • Keep the payment confirmation email you’ll receive once payment is submitted
