Dear Parents and Families,

Congratulations to you and your student on embarking on this exciting, impactful learning experience.  With over 75 years of delivering study abroad programming, Arcadia is committed to offering high quality, meaningful study abroad experiences that contribute to your student’s academic path, while offering a supportive but challenging context to experience a global learning environment.   We believe that studying abroad contributes to skills and awareness that last a lifetime, therefore we are excited to be working with you and your student on this chapter of their life.

As a next step, we’d like to welcome you to the Parent Portal! This section of our website is devoted to parents and guardians, to share resources and information about our programming and approach so that you might be able to help support the experience.  We believe that the entire experience associated with study abroad is a learning opportunity, which not only includes academic coursework and living in a new cultural context, but also encompasses the preparations associated with studying abroad, such as completing an application, securing a visa, planning a budget, or making travel arrangements.  While we are here to support and provide guidance along the way, we are using these elements as teaching moments so that students can navigate these sometimes complex areas in the future.  Therefore, our primary approach is to work with students directly on most matters associated with this experience.  We ask that you partner with us, allowing your student to take the lead in their planning, with all of us in support.

We of course will be in contact with you directly in emergency circumstances and are available to you 24/7 in such circumstances.  You will find our contact details and resources available within our website.

All of us at Arcadia University are excited to embark on this adventure with you. Adventures await!
